WAEC 2018 Results to Be Released by July
The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has announced that it will release the 2018 West African Senior School Certificate Examination result in the month of July 2018.
Damianus Ojijeogu, WAEC’s head of public affairs made the announcement during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Lagos. He said WAEC will release the exam 45 days after the last paper was held.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that WASSCE for secondary school candidates commenced on 27th of March and ended on May 15, 2018.
Mr. Ojijeogu said Technology has been deployed in some marking venues to scan the scripts.
He said this will hasten the marking of the scripts and positively impact the early release of the WASSCE result.
“It has been the commitment of the council to always give quality service delivery in line with the head of the national office, Olu Adenipekun’s promise to reduce the waiting days from 90 days to 45 days.”
The council has also said that it will use Technology to assist in detecting examination malpractice.
